I wonder if this still works.....

Lately I've realized that I'm going to seriously miss OU over the summer.  It has become a second home to me.  I love it.  I get to do what I love to do all the time, and I get to live in such a beautiful and wonderful place.  College is truly wonderful.  What better life is there than being able to dedicate all your time to learning about something you want to learn about?  I'm going to miss all that this summer when I have to get a job and stuff.  I'm kinda sad.  I hope I don't get too bored.

On a different note.  The Chronicles of Narnia movie is truly brilliant and well done.  Of course it is not quite as brilliant as the book, which of course is pure genius that only C.S. Lewis is capable of, but the movie is wonderful just the same.  Anyone that isn't moved by it (the book or the movie) is simply shallow, or else shutting out their emotions.  The way C.S. Lewis intertwines deep truth and fantasy together with the siblings' relationships and their adventures is awe inspiring, because it is so breathtakingly believable and beautiful.

So, last night I had one of the best concerts ever!  I was so calm, I really didn't get nervous at all, at least not compared to how nervous I usually get.  It was cool too, because I had a lot of solos, and so it was neat to have solos and not be nervous.  Everyone did well, it was a very good concert all around.  It was one of the most stable concerts we've played.  I really enjoyed it.  If you didn't go, you really missed out on a great concert. 

I love how God watches over us and helps us even with the little things in our daily lives.  If you really believe He is with you all the time, even through all the little things, your life will be very different and wonderful, and you will learn to see Him, even in the little things where you least expect to.  I was supposed to study for a prepared melodies singing quiz last night that was to be this morning.  Unfortunately I was too tired after the concert.  I planned on just putting my hair in a ponytail this morning, and using the time I normally take to style my hair to study.  However, I fell asleep after my alarm and did not wake up until 10 minutes till I needed to leave for class.  It was odd though, because I was more awake than I usually am, even when I get a full night's rest.  I got ready and left, and I even made it to class on time!  I was worried about the test, but it was too late to do anything about it.  Well, when I got to class I found out that the test was moved to Thursday instead of today!  So even in something as trivial as that, God was watching over me.  He helped me get sleep this morning, when I would have just wasted my time studying, and he helped me to wake up and get to class on time, when there was no way I could have done it on my own if it had been like any other day.  Maybe it seems silly to you, and maybe you had to be there to understand how amazing it was, I don't know.  I just hope that everyone can learn to see that God is there, because if you believe He is there, as He is, you will then be able to see Him there in your own life.  It's true.

Hey Everybody!

It's been a while since I've had time to write on here.  But I'm back, and I know y'all are glad!  I've just been busy lately.  I've already had 4 concerts this semester!  I had to play in 3 of them this past week!  One of them was cancelled last minute, because of the snow, but I still had to be there for the dress rehearsal.  So what with concerts, rehearsals, classes, deadlines to meet etc, I just haven't had a chance to say hi.  Speaking of concerts lol.  The Wind Symphony is giving a concert this coming Monday.  If you are interested in going, just let me know. 

I am very happy.  I love orchestra so much, even more than band, but I didn't make it into the orchestra here because two of the flutists in it are grad students, and the other one is a very good and older undergrad.  However, one of the grad students has been busy with running the flute studio lately, because the flute professor is on sabbatical this semester, so she's been letting me come in and sub for her in the orchestra.  I love it so much!  Orchestra music is so wonderful!  She's even going to let me play a song in orchestra that I get to start all by myself, like a solo!  I don't like solos, because they scare me, but I'm so excited about getting to play in the orchestra, I don't really care!  I know I'll get crazy nervous, but it will be worth it for the experience. 

Sigh.  I always feel bad getting on here and just talking about myself.  So I'll say something about Daniel, or rather, me and Daniel, lol.  We just celebrated our Year Anniversary this past Valentine's Day!!!!  I'm so happy for us!  I hope everyone can find a special someone.
